WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS?

Dental implants are artificial substitutes to replace the root portion of teeth.  They are firmly attached into the jawbone, and under the gums in the mouth through minor surgery.  The dental implants provide a foundation for a replacement tooth or teeth.  Dental implants are used to help people who are missing teeth to be able to chew more comfortably, and give you the look and feel of natural teeth.  By giving you dental implants and excellence in functional and cosmetic crowns, Dr. Roberts can restore your smile and enhance your feeling of well-being and self confidence

There are two basic types of dental implants: those that are placed into the bone and those that rest on top of the bone.  At the Center for Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Roberts can evaluate your specific situation and help you decide which type of dental implant is best for you.
